Why We Created Try Hockey Free
Hockey is often inaccessible due to cost, lack of equipment, and intimidating environments if you have never played before.
Puck Yea! Try Hockey Free exists to remove those barriers and create welcoming entry points into the sport, especially for women and girls.
Our goal is simple: help you discover hockey in a way that feels safe, supportive, and fun.
This Program is Designed for You if:

How It Works
The program is combined of a, two-session progression which begins with off-ice orientation and equipment fitting, where you learn hockey fundamentals, safety protocols, and proper gear use.
This is followed by on-ice instruction focused on skating fundamentals, balance, and comfort.
Session 1: Orientation + On-Ice Instruction

Session 2: On-Ice Development
• Build confidence
• Continue skill development
• Learn basic gameplay
